Meet Jeffrey Howard

Durham Chapel Hill AttorneyJeffrey Howard was born and raised in North Carolina, just down the highway in Fayetteville, NC. He was the crazy kid on the bright BMX bike doing tricks that should have killed him but miraculously failed in their mission. He and his wife and children live in the forests of Orange County.

He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in History (focus on Dark Age England) and Peace, War, and Defense (focus on National Security, before 9/11 and before it was the cool thing to do).

He then pursued and was awarded the degree of Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he graduated with Honors. Jeffrey has lived in Orange County since 1993, and is a member of the 18th District (Orange County and Chatham County) Bar and is admitted to practice law in North Carolina by the North Carolina State Bar; he is also admitted to the Eastern District of North Carolina’s Federal Court.  He has been handling almost exclusively Personal Injury claims, Workers’ Compensation claims, and traffic tickets since he was licensed to practice law in 2001.  His office is at the end of Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, North Carolina but he represents clients all over the state.

When he’s not fighting for his clients, he’s fighting for fun. Jeffrey trains in Gracie Jiu Jitsu with a focus on self-defense.

People want to know about his dogs, so here ya go: He had a Boxer named Nietzsche until he sadly left this world in 2007, going down in history as one of the the best dogs ever. Possibly THE best dog ever, his boxer Albe, passed in 2020 (that year was something).  But his current dogs, Huan the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and Pippin the Frenchie, are looking pretty great.
